Robert Wood was raised here in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School where he met his wife of 28 years. They have two married daughters and two grandchildren who also live in Lubbock. For this reason, he feels a strong sense of community obligation and currently serves as Vice President on the West Texas Homebuilders Association Board of Directors and currently server on various other city and state building committees. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Robert began his career in the building and construction industry in West Texas. In 1979, he was employed by Acacia Hardwoods as a manager perfecting his leadership qualities. He then moved to Pan-Tex Plywood where he served as a Sales Representative where he learned the importance of customer service. Robert also feels that quality workmanship leads to overall customer satisfaction which he discovered as he built his own personal homes.

Eventually he realized his true passion and began Custom Homes by Robert Wood. Robert employs only the finest sub-contractors, using his own electrical and trim crews. The electrical contractor is Jerry Vance who has been in the electrical field for over 25 years. His creativity and knowledge of the lighting and electrical industry helps create an artistic compilation of beauty and elegance.

Tim Crozier heads the cabinet and trim crews. His experience in new construction and remodeling for the last 27 years gives Custom Homes by Robert Wood an upper hand in designing the most outstanding product with minimal structural integrity issues.
